Experience the Vivage Difference with Specialized Care Services

Our mission at Vivage is to offer the Right Care in the Right Place at the Right Time, and the specialized services we provide in our long-term care communities throughout Colorado allow us to do this.

We want to showcase the Vivage difference by sharing more information about some of the services that make us who we are and allow us to live out our mission on a daily basis.

Support for Those Living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Multiple sclerosis is a medical condition that impacts the brain and spinal cord. While the exact cause of MS is unknown, the resulting damage disrupts signals to and from the brain. MS can affect each person differently, and symptoms could be temporary or permanent. Some of the common symptoms of MS include:

  • Numbness
  • Tingling
  • Mood changes
  • Memory problems
  • Pain
  • Fatigue
  • Blindness
  • Paralysis
The Orion Program

Working closely with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, our team at Vivage is dedicated to providing person-centered care through innovative services for all ages and needs. We specialize in neurorehabilitation with an emphasis on those living with MS, maximizing the quality of life for residents from age 30 to 90. Whether an individual comes for short-term rehabilitation or has decided to call a Vivage community home, we care for the whole person – mind, body, and spirit.

Named after one of the most important constellations in the sky, the Orion Program at Vivage offers individuals:

  • Short-term rehabilitation and long-term care in Colorado
  • Therapy services including physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory
  • Outpatient therapy
  • Nursing care and interventions
  • Specially trained team members
  • Sensory stimulation (blue light therapy, touch therapy, massage therapy, aromatherapy, guided imagery)
  • Exercise programs

Vivage communities that currently offer MS Support include North Star Rehabilitation & Care Community and Rowan Community - both located in Denver, Colorado.

In-House Dialysis Care & Services

“Kidneys remove wastes and extra fluid from your body. Your kidneys also remove acid that is produced by cells of your body and maintain a healthy balance of water, salts, and minerals (niddk.nih.gov).”

Healthy kidneys are important for keeping other parts of the body functioning properly. When a person loses about 85 to 90 percent of their kidney function, they require dialysis care. High blood pressure and diabetes are two of the most common causes of kidney failure, but they can also be damaged from diseases or other conditions.

Dialysis care helps keep the body in balance when the kidneys can no longer do so by filtering an individual’s blood.

Hemodialysis Care at Vivage

Hemodialysis is a procedure where a dialysis machine and a special filter called a dialyzer are used to clean a person’s blood. For many individuals living with kidney disease, this means going to a hospital or dialysis unit multiple times a week to receive dialysis care. Not only can this become inconvenient, but it also increases the risk of infection and spreading other diseases.

Fortunately, some of Vivage’s long-term care communities in Colorado have partnered with DaVita Dialysis to provide in-house dialysis care and services. This partnership includes the licensure, regulations, staffing, medical equipment and maintenance of the medical equipment, nephrologists, policies, and procedures associated with this type of care.

This allows community residents who require dialysis care to receive the treatment they need in the comfort of their community. At this time, Vivage communities contracted to provide dialysis care include:

Exceptional, On-Site Wound Care

Highline’s outpatient wound care clinic aims to optimize healing times and promote the best possible outcomes. Their highly trained team utilizes clinically proven treatment protocols and products that ensure our patients receive superior care.
